Day 01 | 01 Nov 2020: NJP/ BagdograManebhanjan(1928m) – Tumling(2970m)

Meet and greet at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station and drive up hills to reach Manebhanjang via Mirik and Jorpokhri and through some of the famous tea gardens, which takes around 3 hrs (82 km).


Shift to a 4X4 vehicle at Manebhanjan and drive further up hills through a steep path to Tumling (a village in Nepal), one of the highest points on the route, where the journey ends for the day. A magnificent view of Mt. Kangchendzonga might be waiting for you, though in the second half of the day it’s usually covered with cloud. Stay overnight at a homestay at Tumling.


Day 02 | 02 Nov 2020: TumlingGairibas(2620m) – Kalipokhri(3186m)

Wake up early to experience a breathtaking sunrise on Mt. Khangchendzonga that changes its colors every moment. Post breakfast, your trek starts. Through an easy ascent of 6 kilometers reach Gairibas. The trail cuts across one of the best Red Panda habitats on earth and happens to be one of the best places to watch and photograph Himalayan birds.


After a moderate 6 km ascend through rhododendron, bamboo, and mixed forest patches reach Kalipokri, the village with a black waterbody, regarded as a holy lake by the locals. Stay overnight at a homestay at Kalipokhri.


Day 03 | 03 Nov 2020: Kalipokhri - Sandakphu

Post breakfast, your trek starts with a moderate 2km ascent to Bikey Bhanjang, followed by a steep ascent that leads you to your destination, Sandakphu, the highest point in West Bengal. The mesmerizing view of Khangchendzonga and Mt. Everest with all other snow-clad peaks would surely fulfill all your dreams.

Sandakphu, situated at an altitude of 11,941ft. above sea level, is the magnificent viewpoint from where 5 eight thousand-meter peaks are visible. Stay overnight at Sandakphu.


Day 04 | 04 Nov 2020: SandakphuPhalut - Sandakphu

Start your day very early to experience and photograph the sunrise on Kanchanjangha. Later walk down to Gurdum, a steep 9 km descent through the bamboo and rhododendron forest. After a break walk further down to reach picturesque village Srikhola, named after the stream flows aside. Stay overnight at Srikhola.



Day 05 | 05 Nov 2020: Sandakphu - Manebhanjan - NJP/Bagodogra Airport

Post breakfast, walk 1.5km to reach the trek head, where vehicles would be waiting for you to take you to Bagdogra Airport or NJP railway station. This tour ends on arrival at the Airport or the railway station.

Srikhola: Srikhola Homestay


The package cost includes:

  • All accommodations as per itinerary on the Double/Triple Occupancy basis.
  • NJP/Bagdogra - Manebhanjan & Rimbik - NJP/Bagdogra Transfers by Non AC Tata Sumo or similar car.
  • All transfers and sightseeing would be as per the itinerary in Singalila (Manebhanjan - Tumling) by Old Landrover or 4X4 Bolero.
  • All meals during the tour (B/L/D) that starts with the Lunch of Day 01 to the breakfast of Day 05.
  • Fuel and driver’s allowance.
  • Permit and forest entry fees.
  • Local guide.
  • Tour skipper from Wandervogel Adventures during the tour.

The Package cost Excludes:

  • Train-fare/Airfare.
  • Food, other than mentioned in the inclusion.
  • Camera entry fee.
  • Bottled water, tips, and/or any other expenses of personal nature.
  • Expenses due to cancellation or any change in itinerary due to govt. announced lockdown, political unrest, medical emergency, natural calamities, or any unforeseen or unintended situation or event.
