Overview :

Ladakh, the fascinating high altitude plateau at India's furthest northern frontier probably occupies one of the topmost 'must visit destinations' for the nature lover.
Originating from La-Tags – Ladakh means “land of the High Mountain Passes” where nature has sketched some amazing landscapes with stunning pastel to make man feel spiritually high. During summer, the Valley wears the colour of sullen grey, silt laden and sometimes turning violet. In autumn, the Indus valley is at the height of gracefulness, with the turquoise and aquamarine water weaving through golden banks of tall poplars and tumbling willows.

Nubra Valley, originally called “Ldumra” meaning the 'Valley of Flowers', is situated in the north of Ladakh region. The average altitude of the valley is about 10,000ft above sea level. The main settlements are along the Shayok River and the Siachen River. One of the most unique features of the landscape in Nubra are the sand dunes between Deskit (administrative center) and Hunder village.
Ancient trade route passed through the Nubra valley and imprints can be seen even today. The double-humped Bactrian Camels of Silk route trade period still wander in the wilderness of the valley.
The drive between Leh and Nubra involves negotiating the Khardungla Pass (5,602m asl), which is considered as the highest motorable pass in the world.

Tso Moriri Lake : Beautiful multi-shades of blue offered by this lake along with a picturesque landscape around gives this place an extremely breathtaking experience.
Tso Kar is a fluctuating salt lake in the scenic Ladakh Valley. There are only a few yak sheds, a monastery and a couple of nomadic families in the surrounding. Tso Kar also has a large variety of birds for the bird lovers as the marshlands surrounding the lake supports an amazing array of birdlife.

Hanle, situated in the Changthang region of Ladakh, is one of the most beautiful, enchanting, calm and soul losing places in India. It has the lovely Hanle Monastery offering some great aerial views of the whole village that is home to about 1,000 people.
