Day 01 : Chandigarh – Chail

Meet and greet at Chandigarh Airport or Railway station and drive uphills to reach Chail. The 104 km road takes approximately 3 hrs. One can take a transfer from Delhi Airport (with an extra cost).

Chail is blessed with magnificent landscape with lush green mountain ranges, dense forests and a peaceful ambience to complement it all. Chail is all about tranquillity with presence of old world charm. Away from the bustling tourist town Shimla, Chail offers every ingredient require for a leisure holiday. Located at an altitude of 7380 ft and covered with thick Deodar and pine forest, nature is in best undisturbed form here. Once established as summer capital of the Maharaja of Patiala, an Indian Princely Estate, there are many old villas and palaces which are still carrying the essence of colonial architecture. Most prominent of them is the summer Palace of the Maharaja of Patiala which is now converted into a hotel. Rest of the day leisure.Overnight stay at Chail.


Day 02 :ChailSarahan

After spending the morning leisurely at Chail, your journey starts for Kinnaur, the land of fairy tales and fantasies, where myths and history creates the perfect ambiance for a traveller looking forward to explore Himalayan kingdoms.

Kinnaur has a spectacular terrain of lush green valleys, orchards and snow-clad peaks.

Drive to Sarahan (6900 ft) covering 180 km of scenic road which will take approx. 5 hrs. Sarahan, a mane of deodar trees, rides the slopes encircling the Bashal Peak. This sparsely populated track is steeped in ancient legends and here is the famous Bhimakali Temple – regarded as one of the fifty one sacred ‘Shaktipeeths’. The temple’s unusual architecture and wealth of carvings have made it a resplendent example of what is loosely called the ‘Indo-Tibetan Style’. Deep down in the valley, flows the river Sutlej and across lies the snow clad Shrikhand peak. Overnight stay at Sarahan.


Day 03 :Sarahan - Sangla

Drive to Sangla( 100 km). The landscape of the area varies from the lush green orchards of the scenic Sangla Valley to the stark magnificence of the Hangrang Valley in the distance. The massive snow clad ranges that provide a regal dignity to the scene are dominated by the peak of KinnerKailash. The natural scenery of Sangla located in the famous Baspa River Valley with eternal snow view are picturesque and charming. Sangla is a small town in the backdrop of high peaks and snow covered ridges with forest covered slopes rolling down to Baspa River. It is surrounded by fruit orchards, mainly apple orchards.

Evening visit to Batseri Village and Kamru fort, an extraordinary example of local architecture and fine wood curving.Overnight stay at beautiful Sangla valley.


Day 04            : SanglaChitkul - Kalpa

Morning visit to Chitkul (11319 ft), the last and the highest village in this valley, 28 km from Sangla via Rakcham. Nestling lazily on the banks of the Baspa river in Kinnaur district, Chitkul is literally the last inhabitant village before Indo-Tibet border and it is as offbeat as an intrepid traveller wants.

Later transfer to Kalpa( 52 km) via Reckongpeo, the headquarter of Kinnaur district .

Kalpa (9711 ft) beyond Reckongpeo on the link road, is the main village of the district located in Sutlej river valley. Across the river, facing Kalpa is the majestic spectacle of the KinnerKailash range. They are a spectacular sight early in the morning as the rising sun touches the snowy peaks with crimson and gold light.

It has all the characteristics of a heritage village with local craftsmanship reflected in the local temples like Narayan-Nagani Temple, but above all Kalpa is more famous for its Apple orchards and fascinating view of KinnerKailash. Overnight stay at Kalpa.


Day 05 :Kalpa

One can have multiple options to spend a day in Kalpa. You can literally just seat and absorb the beauty of Kalpa or can have a short hike to visit nearby Chaka peak.

You can also visit Roghi village to experience the daily life of the local people with its beautiful wooden houses or visit Narayan-Nagani Temple and Hu-bu-Lanka Monastery for its master craftsmanship of wood curving. Overnight stay at Kalpa.


Day 06 :Kalpa - Narkanda

Drive to Narkanda (163 km / 5hrs), another premiere winter sports destination in Shimla district and popular among general tourist too for its meadows and scenic beauty. 

Situated at an attitude of 8885 ft on the Hindustan Tibet road (NH - 22), Narkanda offers a spectacular view of snow ranges. This is an ideal retreat for the tourists who seek seclusion in mountains. It commands an unique view of the eternal snow line and dense forests. Far away from the madding crowd, Narkanda offers spectacular visual treat with thick forest cover of deodar, fir and pine with snowy mountain ranges standing tall on the horizon. Numerous apple orchards are another attraction of Narkanda , which also play a dominating role in local economy of this pristine land. These orchards add vibrant colors to the surrounding nature during blooming and when trees are full of ripe apples. Hatu peak is the prime attraction of Narkanda, Surrounded by majestic mountains and covered in a dense green blanket of sky touching cedar and fir it looks like paradise on earth. Rest of the day leisure.Overnight stay at Narkanda.


Day 07 :Narkanda – Chandigarh

Wake upin the soft sunlight flooding the surrounding hills. Visit to famous Hatu peak.

After a memorable journeys in to the land of god and pristine nature it’s time to say goodbye. You will be transferred to Kalka Raolway Station ( 147 km / 5hrs). Tour ends.
